Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in San Francisco. This flexible, dependable role lets you supplement income, gain hands-on experience, or pursue a full‑time career with the industry leader.

The position pays $34.32 per hour with a fixed anchor shift (DayTime) and a schedule that includes working 2:30 PM–10:30 PM on Saturdays. You may also pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and government facility personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
