Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $24.16 per hour. Fixed shifts with a program to claim extra shifts help you scale earnings while moving toward a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

• Have at least 3 years of Military Police or Corrections Officer experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security‑related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established armed post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and responding personnel.

Job Schedule:

• Thur 10:00 PM - 03:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 03:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
