Qualifications

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures.
• Prepare reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and observations.

• Fri 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor direction and access control activities.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
