Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally following post orders and procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to school personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with school administration, Allied Universal leadership, law enforcement, and emergency services as needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol CPR Certified in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.62 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeTue03:30 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school administration, Allied Universal leadership, law enforcement, and emergency services as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
