Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response at Ashburn, VA.

You will carry out armed patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and support student and staff safety on campus-like educational settings; fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card or license required.
• Pepper Spray Certification preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while enforcing security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner according to procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, and maintain incident documentation.
• Maintain qualifications and handle equipment in accordance with laws and site policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.62 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:30 PM - 08:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and maintain clear, accurate incident documentation.
• Maintain required qualifications and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site‑specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
