Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed to provide dependable, flexible coverage at a designated site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to add shifts through a scheduling platform to boost earnings.

You will patrol and secure buildings, respond to incidents, and maintain logs while supporting a safe environment for students, staff and guests. The position pays $23.46/hour with opportunities to scale hours via pickup shifts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Security Patrol in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri05:30 PM - 09:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with school personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of access points and visitor activity, reporting unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
