Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response on a part-time basis. You will protect clients across government and education locations, conduct armed patrols, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License; Pepper Spray, CPR, Handcuffing and Baton certifications are preferred. You’ll join a team where integrity, teamwork and growth opportunities shape daily work.

Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.

Pay Rate: $26.62 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
