As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Intervention in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.62 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue03:30 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
