Pay rate is $26.62 per hour with a Tuesday evening shift from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The position supports part-time schedules up to 40 hours per week and provides opportunities to progress within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Job Schedule:

Tue 03:30 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
