As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and customer service while documenting events and collaborating with onsite teams. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.90 / Hour

1. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

   • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes familiarity with basic software applications, internet navigation, and the ability to communicate effectively via email and other digital platforms.

2. Customer Service Experience (B219)

   • A minimum of [insert number] years of customer service experience is required. Candidates should provide examples of previous roles where they interacted with customers, resolved issues, and contributed to a positive customer experience.

3. Security Experience - +1 Year (C115)

   • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a security-related role. This includes experience in monitoring, surveillance, and ensuring the safety and security of individuals and property. Relevant certifications or training in security practices will be considered an asset.

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate reports, shift logs, and access-related records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
