Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors and contractors by executing site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor/contractor/delivery records.
• Control entry/exit of personnel, vehicles and materials per site procedures to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking, and perimeter, reporting concerns.

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will use technology to support security-related operations, respond to incidents, and help maintain an orderly environment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

1. Security Experience:

   • Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should be clearly outlined in the candidate's resume and discussed during the interview process.

2. Valid Driver's License:

   • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). Verification of the driver's license will be conducted prior to employment.

3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet:

   • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using a computer or tablet (B204). This includes familiarity with basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively.

4. Customer Service Experience:

   • A background in customer service is essential (B219). Candidates should provide examples of their customer service experience during the interview, highlighting their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently.

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, reporting security-related concerns and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
