Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Danville, PA. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and support visitor and employee check-in at an industrial location.

You will perform routine patrols, stay visible to deter security incidents, and communicate clearly with site leadership and staff. Prior access control or badge experience is preferred; must be 18+ and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include computer or tablet use, customer service experience preferred, access control/badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access at entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors and deliveries to check‑in areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic and report irregular activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts or emergency services as directed by post instructions.
• Conduct regular patrols around the property to deter unauthorized activity; conditions vary by client site.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Control access at entrances and gate points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the proper check-in areas.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic including employees, visitors, and commercial vehicles, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
