Allied Universal in York, PA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer — Access Systems to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other venues. You can build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform and join a team that values responsiveness and safety. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

As an Access Control Officer, you’ll monitor entry points, manage badges, greet visitors, document activity, and support incident reporting with clear, professional communication.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing online platforms relevant to their job functions.
• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should possess a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. This experience should reflect strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail store clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, greeting authorized personnel, and documenting visitor entry and exit activity.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entry points, receiving areas, sales floor access points, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to store management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
