Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in New Holland, PA to support access control, badge verification, visitor management, and respond to security concerns at a food and beverage production location, while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work a flexible part-time schedule with shifts such as Mon 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Fri 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, using computer or tablet systems to manage operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet for daily tasks.
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels, monitoring and troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel following site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct check-in procedures.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, contractors, vendors, and vehicles per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies; notify site contacts and responders as directed.
• Conduct patrols of access points, perimeters, parking areas; document observations and report concerns.

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while using computer or tablet systems and may support alarm panel operations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing online resources effectively.
• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should possess a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently. Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202) Candidates must have experience working with alarm panels, including installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures is essential.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate check-in procedures.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, contractors, vendors, and/or vehicles in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other designated locations; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
