Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Overnight Security Officer for a technology-focused site in South Las Vegas, NV. You will monitor, patrol, and control access to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work night shifts, handle alarms, complete reports, and uphold safety standards. A background check and drug screen are required, with opportunity for career growth and benefits within a large, supportive organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Overnight Access Control in South Las Vegas, near South St Rose Parkway, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms as needed. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.
