As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and respond promptly to any concerns. Pay Rate: $17.37 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within logistics and distribution locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding any incidents or concerns.
• Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for logistics and distribution environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
