Facility Security Officer (FSO) (Part-Time)

Position Details:

• Part-Time, 20-40 hours/month
• Active TS clearance required
• Location: Northern Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.

CASE Management Consulting is seeking an experienced remote Facility Security Officer (FSO) for servicing the Intelligence Community and DoD clients. You will be the primary point for security at CASE, ensuring compliance with all relevant security policies and safeguarding personnel, materials, and classified information. Responsibilities include processing security clearances, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to government requirements, especially NISPOM and DoD security standards.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Manage security documentation and training records for cleared employees.
2. Administer personnel security clearance processes and liaise with federal agencies.
3. Manage security accounts and documentation in systems like NISS, DISS, and NBIS.
4. Conduct security training, self-inspections, and prepare for security audits.
5. Maintain Insider Threat programs and conduct employee security awareness interviews.
6. Update security procedures and ensure all security accounts are current.
7. Engage senior management in security programs and facilitate security meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Top-Secret Clearance
• At least 5 years of experience in Industrial Security
• At least 3 years as a Facility Security Officer
• Current DSS FSO certification
• Proficiency with DoD security systems and NISPOM

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with greenhouse operations (desirable)
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and process innovation
• Proposal writing experience
