Job Description
As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor designated areas to deter incidents and maintain safety, providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively, and responding promptly to concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.37 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon-Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Assist with access control at entry and exit points.
• Communicate clearly with team members and management.
• Support emergency response activities per protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card preferred.
• Valid Guard Card or security license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check required per laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving roles.
