Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Philadelphia, PA to protect students, staff, visitors, and campus property while delivering exceptional customer service and enforcing site security policies.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms and incidents, document events and maintain clear incident logs to support a safe, welcoming campus environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:15 PM - 10:45 PM
• Thur: 02:15 PM - 10:45 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
