Qualifications

• possesses at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following security procedures.
• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and following protocols.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation for stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, maintaining professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
