Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Global Dr in Sulphur, LA, to safeguard clients across industries at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and assist with emergency response.

A valid driver’s license is required; prior law enforcement or security supervisory experience is favored. Daytime shifts and full-time hours support a stable schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors; enforce site procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, issue passes, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries; report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies using escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access-control areas, buildings, and parking areas.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries as required, and report unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, or unusual activity to the appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access-control areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and report observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
