As a Security Officer Secure Entry Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and respond to access concerns with integrity. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry and exit records, and direct personnel, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and escalating concerns through established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations.
- Support a controlled site environment by following access-control protocols, documenting activities accurately, and coordinating with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
