Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for the Highway 108 post in Sulphur, LA. You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, and provide customer service at a chemical and petrochemical location.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, TSA TWIC, ability to lift 20 pounds, and a high school diploma. The role is full-time with day shifts and offers training and benefits.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, maintain visitor/contractor records, and report access-control concerns to site leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately using required reporting tools.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A TSA‑issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
