Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Reporting in Chesapeake, VA. You will protect client sites, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms while delivering professional customer service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR is preferred, and experience with access control. A valid guard card or license and reliable transportation are also preferred to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic client environment.
