Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, loading areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit at the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

As a Security Officer Patrol in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will support access control and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while contributing to a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
