Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA. You will monitor a technology-focused site, perform unarmed patrols, manage access, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to grow within a leading security company. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and prefer a Guard Card/license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience helpful.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; maintain accurate incident documentation.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and follow Allied Universal and client site protocols.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
