As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assessment in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and staff, report observations, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, reliability, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying visitor authorization, and documenting entries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
