Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Mc Lean, VA to protect client sites across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. You will provide visible security, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service while following site policies.

The role requires a DoD Secret Clearance, 3+ years in security or a related field, a valid guard card or license, and the ability to work a night shift on a full-time schedule. CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience, or a college degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports per site procedures.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Clearance in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven team culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology, media, and telecommunications facilities, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
