Job summary

Allied Universal's Burlington location is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Care Patrol to protect clients across industries, maintain a visible security presence, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will patrol designated areas, respond to alarms, monitor access, and communicate with site personnel while upholding Allied Universal’s standards of care, teamwork, and integrity on every shift.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background check and drug screen as per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Care Patrol in Burlington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will respond to alarms and other security-related concerns, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured conditions, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and help support authorized access to restricted areas.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
