Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to join our team at a Burlington, NJ site. This flexible, part-time role supports the community with reliable hours and the potential to earn more by picking up shifts.

Shifts are Sat and Sun from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with an Anchor Shift model and a platform to claim additional shifts. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular/ random foot patrols throughout the retail location.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity to management.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate shift information to leadership.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Visibility in BURLINGTON, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate relevant incidents, observations, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
