Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard in Burlington, NJ. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, monitor alarm activity, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence on site.

Position details include day shifts on Fridays and Saturdays with a pay rate of $18.74 per hour. Applicants must meet minimum requirements, be prepared for background checks and drug screening, and have access to training and growth opportunities at Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vendor entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and shift handoff information; communicate professionally with site personnel.

As a Security Guard Part Time Alarm Console Patrol in Burlington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor alarm activity, and support loss-prevention efforts. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while collaborating with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access-control concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
