Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Security Officer full-time unarmed with customer service responsibilities. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a friendly, safe environment for employees and visitors.

You will work a structured evening shift schedule with a focus on clear communication and adherence to site policies, supported by Allied Universal’s tools and training.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers and vendors by following site policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, entry points and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and document visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident documentation and shift handoff communications.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, agile, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle activity, and follow site procedures for deliveries and driver check-in.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
