Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Guard for a Saint Louis, MO site. You will patrol, monitor access points, and deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors while following campus protocols.

The role emphasizes responding to incidents, maintaining a visible presence, and reporting observations to leadership. Minimum 6 months in security and a HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Monitor access points, identify and report suspicious activity, and assist with directing visitors and responding to requests for assistance.
• Complete accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and campus representatives.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
