Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Secure Access in Pasadena, TX. You will protect clients across industries, manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide exceptional customer service while using tablet systems to document security-related information. Position Type: Full Time.

Pay Rate: $16.90 / Hour. Schedule includes Mon-Fri 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by enforcing access control procedures.
• Monitor and control access to technology and facilities by verifying credentials and directing authorized individuals.
• Respond to access-related incidents calmly and escalate as needed per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, lobby areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents and daily activities and share information with leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Secure Access in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document security-related information, communicate professionally, and help maintain a welcoming environment. Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to technology, media, and telecommunications facilities by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobby areas, restricted spaces, business operations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, access exceptions, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
