Allied Universal in Mobile, AL is seeking a Security Officer for full-time entry authorization. This role focuses on managing entry points at a technology-focused site, verifying access, and providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will monitor credentials, respond to alarms, perform patrols, and uphold site protocols to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. A guard card is preferred and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access control procedures and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, review credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and control entry to restricted areas per site requirements.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly and communicate observations to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and the business perimeter, reporting security-related concerns.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment by providing directions, answering questions, and following delivery/contractor/guest protocols.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, review credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and help control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and the business perimeter, reporting security-related concerns and unusual activity.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment by providing directions, answering questions, and following established protocols for deliveries, contractors, and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
