Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in San Antonio, TX. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and support access control while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires unarmed security duties with a daytime to evening schedule. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, maintaining awareness of authorized entry procedures and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and communications accurately in required logs and reports.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
