• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document observations and incidents clearly for Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Lockport, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while documenting observations, incidents, and access-related activity in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
