Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Specialist in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and employees, verifying access credentials, monitoring entry points, and reporting security-related concerns. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.


• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with access-control requirements; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor records.


• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, and screening equipment; report irregularities, prohibited items, and access concerns to appropriate personnel.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading areas, parking facilities, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
