Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and access policies.
• Screen individuals and permitted items entering designated areas using approved procedures and equipment, documenting exceptions and escalating concerns.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions while maintaining logs and directing guests to check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and entrances to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Inspection in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, identifying potential security-related concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming experience while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and permitted items entering designated areas using assigned procedures and equipment, documenting exceptions and escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions while maintaining accurate logs and directing guests to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
