Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in Herndon, VA. You will monitor and protect a technology location, provide exceptional customer service, and support access control activities during night shifts.

You will perform regular unarmed patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents following site protocols. A high school diploma and background check are required, with additional licensing as needed.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a corporate technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access concerns or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
