Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time security professional in Kansas City to provide customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while enforcing site-specific access control procedures. You will monitor points of entry, verify credentials, and respond to incidents as needed.

Responsibilities include conducting patrols, maintaining visitor logs, and generating detailed reports.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law
• Drug screen required by law
• Licensing requirements may be required
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and complete required documentation for access-control events, incidents, visitor activity, and observed security-related conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
