Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring for a Full Time security position in Council Bluffs, IA. You will provide customer service, control access at a food and beverage production site, and report any irregularities to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures.
• Control access by verifying IDs, credentials, and delivery documents per site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit, maintain logs, issue credentials, and report irregularities.
• Respond to incidents calmly following established communication/escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking, and the perimeter.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the food and beverage production location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect access credentials, and report access irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established communication and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
