Job summary

Allied Universal in Fountain Inn, SC, is seeking a motivated, full-time Security Officer to support our industrial distribution site with professional customer service, access-control procedures, and responsive incident handling.

You will monitor entrances, verify badges, document events, and coordinate with site leadership. Requirements include at least 1 year in security, high school diploma, background check, and willingness to obtain licensing as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining visitor records, and communicating entry requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access-control activity, and unusual conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour
