You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in alignment with site and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
