• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and unusual activity.

New York, NY – As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, public-facing spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and unusual activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
