Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol Inspection in New York, NY to safeguard clients across government and other sectors. You will monitor and patrol, maintain a visible presence, and provide professional customer service while upholding site procedures.

This role requires a NYS security guard license, at least 1 year of security experience, and a high school diploma. You will join a team committed to integrity and reliable service in a dynamic workplace.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal history considerations per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at a government social services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately per Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government social services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
