Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to evolving needs while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals seeking services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, entrances, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a government services environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
