Allied Universal in Bellefonte, PA is seeking a Security Officer Front Desk Reception to welcome visitors, manage access, and maintain a safe, professional environment at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will greet and screen guests, issue visitor credentials, monitor entry points and alarms, and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures at a chemical/petrochemical site.
• Manage the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access records.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communications systems, reporting unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain professional communication and complete required reports and shift documentation.

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, and support a professional, secure environment through exceptional customer service and communication. You will help address security-related concerns, maintain accurate visitor records, and serve as a trusted first point of contact. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):
  • Candidates must demonstrate prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee access badges.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202):
  • Candidates should have experience operating alarm panels. This includes knowledge of alarm system protocols, troubleshooting, and responding to alarm activations.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
  • Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing digital communication tools.
• CPR Certification (B205):
  • Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Allied Universal offers free CPR training for all new hires to ensure compliance and safety standards.
• Customer Service Experience (B219):
  • A background in customer service is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and colleagues.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain professional communication with personnel and visitors, provide directions and assistance, and complete required reports and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
