Job Description
As a Security Officer Front Desk Reception in Bellefonte, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, and support a professional, secure environment through exceptional customer service and communication. You will help address security‑related concerns, maintain accurate visitor records, and serve as a trusted first point of contact. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
- Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):
- Candidates must demonstrate prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee access badges.
- Alarm Panel Experience (B202):
- Candidates should have experience operating alarm panels. This includes knowledge of alarm system protocols, troubleshooting, and responding to alarm activations.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
- Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing digital communication tools.
- CPR Certification (B205):
- Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Allied Universal offers free CPR training for all new hires to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Customer Service Experience (B219):
- A background in customer service is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and colleagues.

What You’ll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Manage the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate access records.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communication systems, reporting unusual conditions or security‑related concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Maintain professional communication with personnel and visitors, provide directions and assistance, and complete required reports and shift documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
