Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a full-time security professional in Detroit. You will provide customer service, enforce site policies, and respond to incidents at a chemical/petrochemical location while patrolling facilities and maintaining logs.

Position requires at least 3 years in security or a related field, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Growth and benefits are provided by Allied Universal.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, enforce site-specific policies, and assist with emergency responses at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/contractor/vehicle logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations with calm, clear communication.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking, and perimeters.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs per procedures.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly to site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, process areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
